Winter Olympics Team GB kit launch

Monday 25th January 2010

On the rainy Monday of January 25th TMC audio team set about installing the system for the Winter Olympics Team GB kit launch. Comprising of two low rising Turbosound groundstacks and two single stacks at the press platform. This simple system was used to provide cinema style audio and gut rumbling impact for the intense visual display feature provided by ICON MEI. We provided ICON MEI with intercom, press audio distribution, press breakout area speech systems and took feeds from their hippotizer machines for the main show playback.

Being situated out of sight, in a temporary office area, was not ideal in many ways for control. To overcome this problem, a wireless network was setup with a Yamaha LS9 console to a wireless tablet PC to time align and fine tune the system in the evening and day before. This proved invaluable to Sam Orange and Ant Standring, the two onsite engineers.

Mallory Park

Friday 7th August 2009

The Moose Team were up at the Mallory Park motor racing circuit to install a stage, sound re-inforcement and lighting effects for a very special musical evening to raise funds for Spinal Research. The Bohemians, a Queen tribute act, had the crowd eating out of their hands as they ran through the repertorie of familiar numbers.

This event was the inspiration of Rob Bryant, himself a paraplegic from a motorbike accident.

One of the audience emailed the band:

After taking a last minute ticket for the Spinal Research gig at Mallory I just wanted to say a big thank you to all of you for the best night out I've had in years, it's not that I don't go out - trust me!!!! You are truly fantastic, your music the best, I didn't stop dancing and singing all night and as it's now Monday you wouldn't believe how hoarse I still am'!!!!!!
